Sono tre le serie trionfatrici di questi Emmy 2023 diventati per via degli scioperi Emmy 2024. Con sei statuette la serie sul mogul dell’editoria Succession e quella culinaria The bear sono i titoli con più riconoscimenti, molto bene anche la miniserie Beef, cinque premi. Una cerimonia che festeggiava i 75 anni del premio nella giornata di Martin Luther King e che ha visto Quinta Brunson, attrice e autrice di Abbot Elementary vincere il premio come miglior attrice protagonista in una serie commedia ben 42 anni dopo Isabel Sanford nel 1981 per I Jefferson. Un’edizione speciale da tanti punti vista, soprattutto per l’Italia perché quest’anno ci sono anche due candidate italiane: Sabrina Impacciatore e Simona Tabasco, nominate come attrici non protagoniste per la stagione siciliana della serie Hbo The white lotus. Anche se il premio è andato a Jennifer Coolidge, le due attrici hanno fatto la storia del premio con questa candidatura.
